Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga and an anime that has been ongoing for around six years, and in those six years, it has been launched into super stardom due to the amazing art style, gripping story, and wonderful characters that have been released over the years. Iconic characters such as Satoru Gojo or Suguru Geto have made readers laugh, cry, and wait in suspense as each different chapter comes out in the semiweekly Shonen jump style manga.
The manga stars Itadori Yuji, a high school kid who has extraordinary abilities such as higher than normal strength and a keen sense of his surroundings at all times. He is a part of a club that seems to study curses just for fun and because it seems interesting to him. Everything starts to go wrong when one of the members finds a cursed severed finger. This finger was owned by a cursed being known as Ryomen Sukuna, also known as the king of curses. It is said if someone eat said finger you will get powers beyond imagination, but it has a massive chance of killing whoever eats it. A mysterious student appears due to him finding out about the cursed finger, but he isn’t the first one to find it.
A massive cursed being starts attacking the school while Yuji is there, who currently is in possession of the finger and gets gravely injured. Without many options, the mysterious student, named Megumi Fushiguro fighting the curse, gets injured as well, and without anything else to do, Yuji eats the finger accepting the heavy burden that was now laid on him.
He gets Sukunas strength and his soul in his body, which will turn into a massive problem in the future. Sukuna kills the curse but then gets defeated by Megumi’s teacher, Satoru Gojo. This man is insanely powerful due to his ability that he calls infinity, basically making him invincible in that nobody can touch him.
This all came to the front stage when Sukuna and Gojo finally got to fight in the Culling Games arc. The fight was insanely close and was nail bitingly close, but it ended up with Sukuna on top due to him figuring out that he could cut through Gojo’s infinity with an insanely powerful cut from his ability Cleave.
People didn’t know where the story was going after this until an announcement on August 23 saying that there was only going to be 5 more chapters in the entire series people were absolutely shocked coming from the fact that the main villain was still alive and thriving.
Addison Ponce said, “I worry that the ending won’t live up to the entire story which was always amazing and gripping.”
But as the story has been coming out, plot holes from the beginning of the story have been slowly filled, such as one of the main characters, Nobara, whose fate has been in question since the early chapters, has finally been solved and wrapped up nicely.
Jujitsu Kaise has been steadily going and the ending is being wrapped up in the best possible ending that it could’ve, making this story one of the most critically acclaimed manga in recent history.
