It is time to look beyond the stars and join us at homecoming for an out of this world experience on Sept 21. This year’s theme is Interstellar, and many Wharton students are now looking forward to it.
Although homecoming is a time that everyone looks forward to it is also a time that is stressful for everyone. Whether that be due to finding the perfect dress or the dreadful time when making plans. It is still something that excites everyone. From dressing up during the school week, experiencing an exciting football game or even playing football yourself, it is a time your schedules are now packed and full and it is right around the corner.
Wharton Student Government (SGA) has come up with this year’s spirit week Monday being Sleep Under The Stars (wear your school appropriate pajamas), Tuesday being In Another Universe (student and teacher swap), Wednesday being Big Dipper and Little Dipper (rhyme without reason), Thursday being A Wrinkle In Time (Dress as your younger or future self), and Friday being Shoot for the stars (wear your class colors).
Another fun experience that comes with homecoming week being the football games whether that be the powderpuff game when the roles of the girls and guys switch, and the girls get a chance to show their skills at football and the guys get to show us another side of them while cheering.
As the new freshman adjust to high school life the events that they have been looking forward to their whole life are now happening and many new Wharton students are both stressed and ecstatic for it.
