The 2024-2025 Mufasa film has been something people all over social media have been talking about and making trends and memes about. With its deep dive into The Lion King, the prequal has had many reactions across the internet. Whether people are talking about how good or bad it is, this film has captured the attention of audiences everywhere.
The new Mufasa film has been buzzing all over social media and it has created a very popular trend that everyone is raging about. This trend was formed from one of the songs in the film called “Always Wanted a brother” where people would use their brothers in a video and sing the song. Many people laugh and enjoy this fun trend while others think it’s gotten annoying, overplayed, and stuck in everyone’s head after hearing it so many times on social media. This trend has made the movie even more popular and has brought many people to the theaters to watch it and sing along to the amusing songs.
“I think the “Brother” trend is a very cute and family friendly trend, and I think more people should do it. Overall, I do enjoy this trend a lot.” Aniyah Lisa Martinize, a freshman said.
The Mufasa film serves as a prequal to Disney’s 2019 The Lion King. It tells the story of Mufasa’s early life, showing how he grew from being an orphan into a great king. The movie focuses on his relationships, especially with his brother Scar, and how those relationships shaped his path to the throne. While it uses the same animation style as the 2019 film, Mufasa adds more depth to the characters and their backstories, helping us understand the events that led to Simba’s journey. The film gave a fresh look at The Lion King world, showing what happened before Simba became king.
“I learned that not everyone is understanding because even though Mufasa tried helping taka get his girl taka blamed Mufasa when his girl wanted Mufasa instead of him” Haley Wolfe a junior said.
The Mufasa film wouldn’t be the great success it is without the amazing actresses that worked hard to put this film together for audience’s all over the world. Theo Somolu as young Taka and Braelyn Rankins as young Mufasa helped put this film together with the viral song I Always Wanted a brother that everyone enjoys. Aaron Pierre as adult Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr as adult Taka/Scar also helped put this film together with a lot of songs in this film. Mads Mikkelsen had a great role in the film as Kiros with a hit song called “Bye-Bye”. John Kani had a great role as Rafiki who helped lead Mufasa Taka and Sarabi to Milele also known as “The Circle of Life”. Tiffany Boone plays a great role as Sarabi who causes some tension in the film between Taka and Mufasa. These are some of the main characters who helped bring this film to life.
“My favorite part of the Mufasa film was when Mufasa ran into Rafiki and Rafiki wasn’t scared and said he would help them find Milele. This is my favorite part because it’s funny how Mufasa and Taka think they’re going to eat Rafiki, but Rafiki isn’t scared of them.” Isabel Quitno a freshman said.
This film has really taken off with the story it tells that really catches people and the trends that are created from it. There is much appreciation for the actors who worked so hard and did so good for this film. This film will be in many conversations worldwide for its great success.
